MND Queensland relies on community support to provide many of our Services for people impacted by Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

There are many ways you can help:

Hold your own fundraising event

Do you have an idea for an event that will help increase awareness, in tribute of someone or an activity to fundraise to provide support for Queenslanders with MND?

It could be a golf day with your friends, a sausage sizzle at your football club, a gala dinner with your work colleagues, a family fun day with your neighbours, a swimming competition at the local pool... anything you want!

Or simply select from pre-existing fundraising events such as DrinkTea, MuteMe, IceBucket Challenge, Your Own Walk to D-Feet MND and more. Follow the concept and use the materials available to you! Scroll down this page to see more info.

More info and Event Ideas can be found here:

Become a Member of MND Queensland

As a member of MND Queensland you are demonstrating your ongoing support of the aims and objectives of the Association. You will count as part of our number so we can be a strong voice to Government in advocacy about equitable access to quality services for Queenslanders who live with MND. There is a cost, but people with an MND diagnosis can join for free.

In-memoriam donations

If you've lost a loved one, instead of flowers, you might prefer people make a donation to MND QLD. We have special donation envelopes that we can send out and we can also set up a web page to accept online donations in-memory of your loved one. When planning a funeral, make sure to contact us ASAP so we can send these envelopes out to the funeral home in time or so that we can set up the in-memoriam donation page.

Become a monthly donor/regular giver

Regular Giving donations are a fantastic way of supporting people with MND as your giving makes a greater impact and it guarantees an income for MND QLD. It makes donating easier for you with automatic receipting and it also reduces our administration procedures. You can donate or become a regular giver through the ‘donate’ button on this website or by phoning 07 3372 9004 during business hours.

Pre-existing fundraising events

Take on your own 'Mute Me for MND'

Get sponsored to stay silent for an hour or a day! A great activity in the school or office as it also highlights the fact that many people with MND lose their ability to speak, so it makes you find creative ways to communicate.

Host your own 'Drink Tea for MND'

Invite your friends and family or coworkers for a tea party and instead of a gift or plate, ask them to make a donation to MND Queensland instead.

Fundraise for mnd

Do your own 'Walk to D-Feet MND'

An easy way to get out in the fresh air with your community, especially if one of our Walk to D-feet MND events cannot make it to your location... You can do it yourself!

Host your own event to raise funds/donations for Motor Neurone Disease (MND)

Take on your own 'Ice Bucket Challenge'

This viral phenomenon started in 2014 and is an easy, fun way for you to get involved and help raise awareness and funds for MND. Officially August is the month for the Ice Bucket Challenge #EveryAugustUntilThereIsACure but you can do the challenge at any time. Make a donation to MND Queensland, pour a bucket of ice-filled water over your head while filming it and challenge some friends to either do it too, or make a donation instead.
