MND Queensland recognises that feeling connected to others impacted by an MND diagnosis is helpful for those on their MND journey to share experiences and learn from one another and make friends who understand. We host both in-person and online (and hybrid) MND Support Group Meetings.
Our free support groups are for people with MND, their family and informal carers.
Online MND Support Groups have been a great success especially for those living in the regions and we're going to be continuing this online service and mix them with in-person support group meetings as we come out of the pandemic.
Online MND Support Group Meetings can be joined using Microsoft Teams and you can join using a computer, mobile phone or tablet.

MND Queensland educational presentations
MND Queensland hosts educational presentations with a variety of guest presenters talking about different topics of interest to people impacted by MND. These sessions are very useful and educational, and we've been recording them to make them available to view at any time on our YouTube channel.
Online Community
You may also like to join our Facebook Group – MND Queensland Community Group. This is a private chat group for clients of MND Queensland, their families and informal carers. A place to discuss topics of mutual interest and to share your experiences with Motor Neurone Disease, in the hope that you may offer support and connection to others on a similar journey. MND Queensland Staff will also share useful information in this group and contribute to the group discussion as appropriate.
