Join together as a community for this special event as we light up the Story Bridge in blue for national Blue Cornflower Day.

Please join us for National Blue Cornflower Day as we pay tribute at this free community event held within MND Awareness week 2022.

We will pay tribute to those battling Motor Neurone Disease and remember those that we have lost, as well as listen to important speakers in the health field.

We encourage everyone (Queensland wide) to contact us and share their story and photo of their loved one so that we can highlight the importance of supporting one another and life that is lived.

(not far from the Story Bridge Hotel)

Free (bring a gold coin donation for a blue candle)

Event Schedule 

Pre arrival 5pm

Join us form 5pm as we watch our 'Climb in Tribute for MND' challengers ascend the Story Bridge in Tribute of a loved one. We will see them wave from the top and listen to their stories and their amazing fundraising efforts.

During pre-arrival we will also be joined by local food truck Benz on Miller who will be serving up delicious warm food.

Ceremony commences 5.45pm

We will aim to commence the ceremony from 5.45pm as the bridge light turn blue in symbolism of National Blue Cornflower Day. We will also hear from special speakers and share to real life experience via tribute made to loved one.
You can participate in the tributes by sending in your images and short tribute to events@mndaq.org.au 

Ceremony conclusion 7pm 

We expect to conclude this special event around 7pm. You are welcome to stay and connect with others as we enjoy some live music and the food truck will be serving until 8pm

What to bring

This is a casual event, we encourage you to bring picnic blankets and folding chairs to sit on.

Please note we will be doing some Facebook live footage from the ceremony so you can tune in to watch from 5pm via our Facebook page @MNDAQ 

You are welcome to send in your short tributes and images to be read by our staff and/or displayed in the presentation at the event. Please send your tributes to events@mndaq.org.au by COB Wednesday 22nd June 2022.
